The 3rd Editorial Committee of Chinese Herbal Medicines

    The 3rd Editorial Committee of Chinese Herbal Medicines (CHM) was held in Chizhou, China, on July 19, 2014. The participants included the editor-in-chief of CHM, Academician Chang-xiao Liu, associate editors-in-chief of CHM, Prof. Li-da Tang, Prof. Shi-lin Chen, Prof. De-an Guo, and some members of CHM Editorial Board, such as Prof. Gang Bai, Prof. Wei-dong Zhang, Prof. Peng-fei Tu, Prof. Shi-shan Yu (China), Prof. Xiu-wei Yang, and Prof. Ling-yi Kong, and the editors of Editorial Office of CHM.
    Academician Chang-xiao Liu chaired the meeting and introduced the presenting professors to all. Prof. Li-da Tang gave the welcome speech to the domestic experts. The editorial board members attending the meeting, with the high sincere enthusiasm and concerted efforts, discussed the crux of the problem of the journal, made some feasibility suggestions, and looked forward to the bright future of CHM. In summary, we need to make more effort to improve the quality of the journal. It has both opportunity and challenge for the future of CHM.
    At the end of the meeting, Academician Liu and Prof. Tang awarded the certificate appointments and souvenirs to the associate editors-in-chief and members of editorial board. The 3rd Editorial Board of Chinese Herbal Medicines (CHM) added seven new members who are excellent researchers in the field of pharmacy, they are Anna Rita Bilia (Italy), Toshiaki Makino (Japan), Wan-ying Wu (China), Min Ye (China), Krystyna Skalicka-Woźniak (Poland), Ilkay Erdogan Orhan (Turkey), and Da-cheng Hao (China).
