Content of matrine in Fufangshiwei tablet, a compound tablet containing the Chinese herbal drugs Shiwei and Lightyellow Sophora (Sophora flavescens Ait.), was determined by TLCS. This method was found to be simple, quick and reproducible, with a recovery of 97.70% and RSD 3.23%.
