以人白血病HL－60细胞为实验对象，利用3H-脱氧胸苷（3H－TdR）掺入实验，JAM实验法及流式细胞仪观察槲皮素对HL－60细胞DNA和细胞周期的影响。结果显示，槲皮素15μmol/L～120μmol/L可显著抑制HL－60细胞的DNA合成及诱发DNA链断裂；槲皮素主要是阻滞G1期向S期移行，使G1期细胞蓄积，S期细胞减少。槲皮素的作用呈明显的剂量依赖关系。

Effects -of quercetin, a flavonoid found in many plants，on DNA and cell cycle of human promyelocytic leukemia cells (HL60) were studied.Assay to 3H-TdR incorporation, JAM test and flow cytometric analysis were undertaken.Quercetin, 15-120 μ mol/L decreased the syntheses of DNA, degraded their DNA into small fragments，mainly blocked to progress through S-phase and arrested at Gl phase of HL-60 cells in a concentration-dependent manner.Results suggested that antitumor action of quercetin may be related to its inhibition of DNA syntheses and initiation of DNA damage.
