Colorimetric method for th determinaion of polysacchrides in Ganoderma lucidum was developed by the use of phenyl hydrate-sulfuric acid and optimized by orthogonal experimentations. The method was rapid and accurate with good reproducibility. The average recovery was 99.1% and the relative standard deviation 1.23%.
