                  [Abstract]
                  A two dimensional thin layer chromatographic method was established to determine the amount of synthetic berberine mixed in fibrauretinum as adulterant by HPTLC plate. Flurecence localization was at λ =365 nm. The method has been applied for the quantitative determination of plamatine and jatorrhizine in fibrauretinum and proved to be simple, sccurate and reproducible.
