肾茶8、4、2g/kg连续灌胃30d，可使Ade所致慢性肾功能衰竭（CRF）大鼠血清MMS、BUN、Cre的异常升高明显降低，同时对CRF各期贫血症状有改善作用。肾茶肾脏组织形态学研究表明，肾茶可使肾小管组织细胞病变减轻，肾小球结构破坏减少，完整肾小球数目增加。

Aqueous extract of Shencha[Clerodendranthus spicatus(Thunb.)C.Y.Wu]was given to rats with chronic renal failure at doses of 8g,4g and 2g/kg for a period of 30 days.Results showed that their elevated MMS Cre and BUN were markedly lowered,and symptoms of anaemia improved.Histomorphologiczl study of the kidney showed that cellular damage of renal tubules and glomerulus were alleviated and number of intact glomerulus was increased.
