TLC was used for the qualitative identification of Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et wils,Cyperus rulurzdus L. and Rheum palmalum L. in Shixiangzhitong pill. The content of chrysophanol in Shixangzhitong pill was assayed by TLC-scanning. The proposed method can be used to control the quality of Shixiangzhitong pill.
