以多刺裸腹溞为动物筛选模型，从药效学方面研究了绞股蓝提取液对多刺裸腹生命活力和寿命的影响。结果表明：0．0125％、0．0250％、0．0500％及0．1000％的绞股蓝提取液对溞的生长、发育、繁殖和寿命均有明显影响。

Effect of Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino extract on the vitalit y and life-span of thorny nude belly water flea was studied. Resilis showed that all 0. 0125%, 0.0250%, 0.0500% and 0.1000% extract of G. pentaphyllum signifienntly effected the growth, development,reproduction and life span of the water flea.
