[Abstract]
With the continuous growth in the medicinal value and market demand of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, its safety concerns have also attracted increasing attention, among which heavy metal and harmful element residues have become core risk factors and focal issues affecting the quality and safety of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos. Heavy metal contamination in Lonicerae Japonicae Flos primarily involves five elements: lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), mercury (Hg), and copper (Cu), with Pb and Cd being the relative prominent in terms of exceeding standards. This paper reviews the pollution sources, migration pathways of heavy metals and harmful elements in Lonicerae Japonicae Flos,, policy and standard system evolution, residual status, and detection methods, and conducts targeted safety risk assessments. It comprehensively analyzes existing core issues and development trends in this field, aiming to provide scientific references and practical foundations for source-level cultivation control of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, quality and safety management throughout the production process, and the optimization and upgrading of related testing standards.
