Work Conference of Chinese Herbal Medicines was Held in Beijing

    In order to further prompt the rapid development of CHM toward the direction of internationalization, the temporary work conference of Chinese Herbal Medicines (CHM) editorial office was held in Beijing Rainbow Hotel on March 6, 2013. The participants included Prof. XIAO Pei-gen (Academician of CAE, editor-in-chief of CHM), Prof. LIU Chang-xiao (Academician of CAE), Prof. TANG Li-da (President of TIPR), Prof. CHEN Shi-lin (associate editors-in-chief), senior staff of Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Institute of Medicinal Plant Development which are secretary units of CHM, and other members in Beijing and Tianjin editorial office. In the meeting, as suggested by Prof. XIAO Pei-gen, Prof. LIU Chang-xiao was invited to take up the position of editor-in-chief of CHM, and Prof. XIAO Pei-gen was appointed as the honorary editor-in-chief. The executive chief editor, Prof. CHEN Chang-qing, debriefed the latest progress of the journal, and expressed sincere thanks to the editor-in-chief who was dedicated to the development of CHM.

    With the trend of journal international- lization, editorial office of CHM should focus on enhancing international impact and make efforts to have CHM indexed by international databases. The honorary editor- in-chief, editor-in-chief, and associate editors-in-chief all expressed that they would do their best to promote the international- lization of CHM.
With the support of editorial board, as well as the assistance of the scientists and scholars, we will make efforts to further enhance the impact of CHM in this field.
